Known as a haven for ski enthusiasts and adventure seekers, Snow Summit was founded in 1952 by Tommi Tyndall. It is one of three mountains in Big Bear Mountain Resorts (BBMR) and offers intermediate and family skiing. BBMR has been renovating Snow Summit, spending over $250,000 in 2023-2024, ensuring the amenities are modernized for guests.

Snow Summit has become a sought-after winter destination over the years, offering a range of activities for all ages and skill levels. The resort operates primarily during the winter, from mid/end of November through April, providing ample opportunity for skiing, snowboarding, and other snow-related adventures​​​.
