About
Little did John Ayers know that when he started home-brewing beer in 2006, his passion would one day birth Creek Bottom Brewing (CBB). As the years passed, he realized the need for craft beer in the Blue Ridge Mountain area, so he left the company he started and opened CBB in 2013.
But Creek Bottom Brewing is unique because it's more than a beer hall. It's also a restaurant with a menu that exceeds standard pub fare. John installed a brick wood-burning oven to create one of the best foods to accompany beer: pizza! And you'll also find an impressive list of healthy salads, burgers, smoked wings, "sammiches," tacos…you get the picture.
The craft beers will appeal to all beer lovers. Whether you prefer a stout, an IPA, a lager, or a classic like Pabst, there's something for everyone at Creek Bottom Brewing.
CBB is your go-to for live music with a rotating roster of talent ranging from classic rock bands to Celtic groups and solo acoustic artists. Grabbing a cold one and listening to hot music is the perfect way to unwind after a day of adventure with New River Outdoor Adventures.
When planning your vacation itinerary, add a trip to Creek Bottom Brewing for tasty pizza, craft beer, and live music.
Vibe
When one hears of a hotspot serving beer and live music, images of shady roadhouses and honky tonks come to mind. But Creek Bottom Brewing Company has an atmosphere and decor that transcends this stereotype.
What first grabs your eye is the rusty sign on the wooden entrance, which mimics the area's farms and mountains. The exterior resembles a restaurant more than a beer hall and has a contemporary touch with stone and wood trim.
The interior is open and combines comfort with wooden accents and polished steel fixtures, giving it a modern look. The seating arrangement is like a family restaurant, with a mix of high-top tables, cozy booths, and bar stools.
If the weather is nice, dine outside in a spacious area with plenty of patio tables and umbrellas. It's the perfect spot to relax with a cold brew or hot meal and enjoy the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains after exploring attractions like the Old Cranks Motorcar Museum.
Creek Bottom Brewing: Menu & Drinks
Yes, craft beer is the focal point at CBB, but the menu and ambiance also make it an excellent dining option. Case in point are the signature pizzas cooked in a wood-fired brick oven. While you can build your masterpiece, be sure to peruse their offerings.
The Texan is a tip of the hat to a region that takes its brisket seriously. This pizza uses a brisket-based sauce with tender smoked brisket, caramelized onions, and roasted red peppers. The pie is topped with cheddar cheese and scallions, and with one bite, you'll know this pie delivers Texas-size flavor.
The Pulled Pork Tacos bring South of the Border flavors to the Blue Ridge Parkway. This meal features three tacos packed with smoked pulled pork, fresh cilantro and lime slaw, crumbled cotija cheese, and a housemade spicy BBQ sauce.
The menu also includes creative burgers, hand-breaded boneless wings, artisan salads, and classic pub fare. With options like chicken fingers and Mac and cheese, there's a meal for even the pickiest eater.
There are too many beers to list, but rest assured, there's a brew on tap or canned that will hit the spot. A standout is the Rail to Trail pale ale, named after the New River Trail near the brewery. It's a light-bodied, citrusy beer with hints of peach and other ripe fruit.
Creek Bottom Brewing is your go-to when exploring the Blue Ridge Parkway for wood-fired pizzas, craft beer, and a "go with the flow" atmosphere.
