The story of Icefire can be traced back to the 70s. After graduating college in ceramics, Jim Kingwell began blowing glass in 1971. With his newfound passion, he started Icefire Glassworks in 1975 to showcase his work.

In 1991, Jim moved the gallery to Cannon Beach and took over Bill and Sally Worcester's former glassblowing shop. Today, Icefire Glassworks is a staple in the Oregon art community.
