There is no cost to visit; however, the museum operates solely on contributions and encourages donations as an admission fee. For tours of more than 5 people in your group, a $5 donation per person is appreciated.

One of the most intriguing and mystifying elements on display is the Flight 19 exhibit. Guests learn the story of five Avenger torpedo bombers that left NAS Fort Lauderdale in 1945 and vanished into the Bermuda Triangle. Stories abound about what happened, and to date, the planes have never been found.

The Naval Air Station was active from October 1942 through October 1946, when pilots underwent combat training and flight maneuvering for WWII.

Another interesting fact is that President George H.W. Bush was stationed at the base and underwent training as a torpedo bomber pilot.
