About

Float by the Naked Mermaid in the Arts & Entertainment District of Galveston! Established in 2011, they've been supplying customers with fun and unique items for just over a decade! You'll find plenty of antiques, local art, and eclectic decor here. Additionally, they stock gift and self care items. There's a little bit of everything at this local shop.

Easily recognizable by the naked mermaid (literally!) hanging by the front window, you can't miss this store. The exterior makes the location apparent with an A-frame sign out front and a hanging sign on the awning. The doors are a gorgeous deep green color and there is art on the windows. Parking should not be an issue along the street. However, if you do have trouble finding a space, there is a public parking lot on Post Office St. and 21st street just a short walk away.

Fun Fact: Mermaid sightings are common here!

So what's available at the Naked Mermaid?

Inside, you will find that the store showcases plenty of art! There are all kinds of artworks hanging on the walls throughout the shop. The wonderful thing about these pieces is they are all created by local artists. This is an awesome way to take a real slice of Galveston home with you.

Aside from local art, there are various other souvenirs available. This includes hats, funky jewelry, and some clothing. Primarily they carry home decor, furniture, and art.

Commitment to Exemplary Customer Service

Wydell, the new owner of the shop, found her calling when she began working at the Naked Mermaid back in 2013. She loves everything about the shop - from the ambiance to the customers. She truly enjoys working at the store which is why you're sure to have nothing but wonderful interactions here! Don't believe us? Check out their incredible reviews on every platform.
