Established in 1989, Lion Habitat Ranch provides loving homes for lions that once worked on The Strip. Aside from being a wildlife sanctuary in Nevada, Lion Habitat Ranch strives to educate visitors on lion conservation.

Fun Facts & Cool Features

When one pictures the lion sanctuaries, images of cheesy, rundown facilities and underfed big cats in dirty, small cages come to mind. You will not find this at Lion Habitat Ranch!

The facility is clean and safe, and the animals are well-maintained and have ample room to roam. A fun fact is that the Lion Habitat Ranch is a non-profit whose mission is lion conservation in Las Vegas. Ticket sales go toward protecting the King of the Jungle and raising animal conservancy with every guest.

Seeing the lions up close and safely behind the glass is terrific for general admission guests. But for a heart-pounding experience, sign up for one of their up-close adventures.

The Animal Experience is a top choice with visitors and lets you feed a lion. While the price is hefty, this adventure is a guaranteed win and the thrill of a lifetime.

If you expect to be alone in a pen holding a hunk of meat before a famished lion, think again. Guests feed the lion through a fence by sliding meat through a plastic tube that the lion eats from. But even with such safety precautions, it will be an unnerving yet exhilarating moment!

A cool feature popular with all ages is feeding Ozzie the giraffe. Imagine Ozzie bending his long neck down to feast on the leafy veggies in your hand. This is a safe and thrilling moment and photo-perfect for families and friends.

Lion Habitat Ranch in Nevada should be on your list of things to do in Henderson or Las Vegas.

You will have a memorable experience, and your money goes to preserving these fantastic mammals.
