About

You are likely to see the cute little pink food truck that is Little Lucy's long before you actually can read the name, but you are also likely to smell the goodness coming from that truck too.

This is a fun little food truck and the perfect place to visit when you want a sweet treat that is just too good to pass up.

Little Lucy's offers hot, fresh mini donuts made from scratch, right to order. And who doesn't love a good mini donut? With a wide variety of options, there is likely something here for everyone.

In fact, when I visited, it was hard to decide which one to pick up since they were all so good.

This fun company was founded in 2013 on Rainey Street when the owner was looking for a high-quality donut but couldn’t find anything locally. On a mission to share with the community a treat, the founder enjoyed as a kid, Little Lucy’s was born.

These special mini-donuts are quite the nostalgic little treat for many people and are sure to bring back memories for anyone who is looking for something sweet and full of flavor. The hard part is choosing which to order.

Vibe

Little Lucy's is a wild pink food truck that is on Rainey Street in the Downtown Austin area. It's a part of the street and is there every day.

You can expect there to be a line at some times of the day, but I have never heard a complaint about it because of the sweetness they offer.

There are some picnic tables nearby where you can sit and enjoy your treat, though I often get them to go and then head off on my day, whether that's continuing along Rainey Street or off to work.

It's a cute little spot and is so worth stopping for all on its own.

Little Lucy's: Menu & Drinks

There are a lot of options here, and they do change by the season.

Little Lucy's often makes new options, brings back old favorites, and then has some that are seasonal. Go with the flavors you love and choose something new, too.

Some of my favorites include the maple, bacon, and rum mini donuts, which are the perfect combination of sweet and tangy. I get the High Brew Coffee that is in a can to compliment my breakfast.

That being said, there are some great options here outside of this.

For example, consider options like the Italian cream cake mini donut, called Maltese, or the Golden Retriever, which has apple pie spices, and graham. You could also go with the Greyhound, which is a chocolate and espresso mixture that is absolutely awesome.

Then, choose your dipping sauce. Nutella is a favorite, but I enjoy caramel or white chocolate.

As for drinks, they have a lot to choose from as well.

Hot coffee and cold brew are available. They also have options like Yoohoo, coconut water, apple cider, and Mexican Coke, among others. And, of course, you can always get hot cocoa on a chilly morning to warm!

  • In the past, I have been to events where Little Lucy's has catered, and there is nothing better than these yummy treats while you watch people open baby shower gifts!
  • They are not open too early (10 AM), but they stay open until 2 AM, which means if you get a craving late at night, it is pretty darn easy to get exactly what you need, and even have it delivered to your home.
