About

You know the chant: "I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!" When your crew is hankering for ice-cold treats, only one Holden Beach location will suffice, and that's Beaches-N-Cream.

This beloved shop was opened in March 2012 by Brunswick County natives Amanda and Steven Parrish. The couple spent two years perfecting their recipes before opening their doors.

The keywords for this shop are "homemade" and "fresh ingredients." Beaches-N-Cream is known for its focus on local ingredients, like milk from Jackson Dairy, a North Carolina farm. When possible, they use local ingredients, ensuring every flavor is fresh and creamy.

Another key factor is that the ice cream is made on site in small batches. Such quality control ensures that the flavors are lip-smackingly delicious and don't get freezer burn like you'll find (and taste!) at other shops.

Aside from ice cream, you'll find swag in the store, like t-shirts, that make great souvenirs. They also cater special events and celebrations, with the option of having their ice cream truck come to your location!

Since it's near Holden Beach in Supply, North Carolina, grabbing some ice cream before or after sightseeing is simple. For example, after exploring the Green Swamp Preserve or enjoying a seafood meal at Provision Company, you're just a short drive away from tasty, homemade ice cream.

Beaches-N-Cream is a must-visit, where ice cream, sundaes, and thick shakes will be a highlight on your OBX getaway.

Vibe

This dessert mecca stands out on Holden Beach Road. While quaint, its seafoam green fence and matching facade make it instantly recognizable. Also noteworthy are the pastel-colored steps, spindles, and parking blocks, adding more vividness to the building. The silver tin roof and front porch are the crowning touches, making it an inviting spot to stop.

Inside, the small space is utilized efficiently. A long display of ice cream is the main focus, while t-shirt bins are on the opposite wall. The beachy colors on the exterior flow into this room, adding pizazz to the shiplap walls.

The blackboard menu showcases the specials and rotating flavors, making it easy to order. Several small tables with vintage chairs dot the floor, while outside, colorful picnic tables are beneath patio lighting.

The combination of these colors and design elements makes the room festive and welcoming. All of which adds allure to one's visit.

Beaches-N-Cream: Menu & Drinks

After visiting The Wild Horse Preserve at Grayce Wynds, visit the treat shop for drinks or ice cream.

Because the ice cream is freshly made, every visit offers a new flavor discovery. And with the free samples, your biggest challenge will be deciding which flavor, or flavors, to choose!

Regarding flavors, Beaches-N-Cream has something for everyone! It isn't one of those places where only a handful of traditional flavors are available! Like we've said, with so much to choose from, you may need to make multiple visits to try them all!

Milkshakes are a popular pick, featuring any of their delicious flavors and making for a thick and creamy taste. Another drink option is the float, for that old-school experience.

The sundaes are another standout and come in one, two, or three scoop sizes. If those won't satisfy, take it up a notch with any of the Specialty Sundaes. These feature the turtle, the brownie, the banana split, or the super. The latter is a behemoth, offering your choice of three scoops of ice cream and three toppings.

After a day on the water with Cruisin' Tikis Holden Beach or at Holden Beach, nothing satisfies quite like a treat at Beaches-N-Cream. Visiting will be a highlight of your Holden Beach vacation.
