About

The slogan on the back of Provision Co T-shirts says it all: "Great food. Great People. Great view. Bad parking." But don't let the last disclaimer dampen your incentive to visit. Just plan on being creative when it comes to parking!

While there's a Provision Company in Southport, the Holden Beach location is a separate entity. Both feature similar menus and vibes, but have individual histories and ownership. With that out of the way, let's explore in more detail this local dining hotspot!

Its location on the Holden Beach side of the Intracoastal Waterway makes it a popular spot for casual waterfront dining. While arriving by car offers parking challenges, its dock makes visiting by boat a dream.

The restaurant serves lunch and dinner, with extended bar hours on weekends. Such conveniences make grabbing a meal after sightseeing a snap. For instance, after 18 holes at River's Edge Golf Club, celebrate with food, drinks, and views. And being just a short drive from Holden Beach, you're never far from satisfying your hunger or thirst.

For a laid-back dining experience, where seafood is king and the views are picturesque, head to Provision Co.

Vibe

If coming by boat, you can't miss the bright red pitched roof facing the Intracoastal Waterway. Also visible is the simple signage on its second deck, indicating where to dock. From the street, you'll discover a stunning black and white image of a shrimp boat with "Provision Company" arching over its top. All these offer insight into its low-key setting, where the focus is on the food.

Inside, the décor is casual and nautical, with wood tones, coastal accents, sturdy furnishings, and wide-open views of the ICW.

The atmosphere is relaxed and unpretentious, with the hum of conversation mixed with sea breezes and passing boats. Dining areas include a covered deck overlooking the water, an upstairs porch, bar seating, and outdoor deck options. There is also a downstairs "Sand Bar" space and dockside seating perfect for sunset views.

These attributes combine to make the atmosphere quintessential OBX, making for a fun and relaxing dining experience.

Provision Co: Menu & Drinks

Like its ambiance, the food is straightforward, focusing on quality rather than quantity or variety.

For the best bang for your buck, consider meals like Thee Special. And no, that's not a typo! This hearty meal features a ½ pound of steamed shrimp, a crab cake, and corn on the cob. It's the perfect pick after a day of exploring the wetlands with Tour H20.

The grouper, crabcake, and yellowfin tuna dinners are the remaining Specials to consider. These dinners come with potato salad and cucumber salad as your sides.

If you need something lighter, the sandwich options offer plenty of options. Fans of seafood will marvel at the grouper, tuna, and shrimp burgers. For those who prefer something else, the burgers, chicken sandwiches, and grilled cheese will appeal to the pickiest of eaters.

But when you're on the coast, the go-to is the fresh seafood options! Steamed shrimp is a house favorite, ordered by the half or full pound, served tender and seasoned just right. Clams, grouper salad, and conch fritters round out this portion of the menu.

When it comes to drinks, the setup is as easygoing as the food. Local and imported beers are available, as are a limited selection of wines. Soft drinks abound, along with tea and bottled water.

Eating here is part of the Holden Beach rhythm. Provision Co brings together top-notch seafood, cold drinks, and waterfront breezes. While parking is a challenge, it's an endeavor worth tackling to savor the "Great food. Great people. Great views."
