About

When you're craving tacos (and who doesn't?) along with top-shelf tequila and bourbon, only one eatery will suffice: Agave & Rye Huntsville.

This chain restaurant is the vision of Yavonne and Wade Sarber, who opened the first Agave & Rye in Covington, Kentucky, in 2018. From the start, Yavonne and Wade wanted diners to have an EPIC experience. This philosophy incorporates everything and everyone at the eatery, from tacos and drinks to service that goes above and beyond.

The restaurant boasts on its website that its values are like its margaritas: "strong, unapologetic, and a little bit sassy." Such a mantra is evident with the exterior's unique artwork and a menu that pushes the limits of traditional tacos and cocktails.

Agave & Rye is in the Bridge Street Town Centre, so you're never far from tacos and tequila while shopping or watching a movie at the Cinemark theater. It's also convenient to key Rocket City landmarks like the Alabama Constitutional Hall, making planning sightseeing around a meal easy.

Agave & Rye promises an unforgettable experience that will enhance your vacation.

Vibe

The moment you set sight on Agave & Rye Huntsville, you know you're in for a mindblowing dining experience! Forget architectural and design elements seen at most Mexican restaurants. Instead, you'll be captivated by the building's black-and-white motif, signature artwork, and faux columns.

Open the doors and enter a decor revolution, where colors, artwork, and layout transport you to a dream world of your creation. Picture large pop art paintings and eclectic murals with rustic wood panels and modern furnishings. These exemplify the Sarber's vision to make everything about Agave & Rye epic!

Dining areas include cozy booths and tables near the roll-up doors. The bar is popular with its vintage 60s-style chairs, perfect for casual meals or solo diners. The outdoor patio offers al fresco dining options and stylish lighting for evenings.

Agave & Rye Huntsville: Menu & Drinks

Before exploring the various tacos, let's check out the Munchies. The options range from comfort food to healthy bites. A twist on a classic is the Mac n Cheese Donuts with sweet and spicy bacon and Habanero maple syrup. You'll be hard-pressed to decide whether it's a dessert, breakfast, or comfort masterpiece!

Now, on to the tacos!

These are unique in that they are double-shelled with a crunchy corn and flour shell. Add a "Love Cushion" of queso or guacamole between the shells for an additional cost.

Once you've decided which direction to take with the shells, your next challenge is to select from the tantalizing offerings.

The Rooster features crispy chicken with mac' n cheese and Nashville hot sauce. Sweet pickles top this handheld and complement the chicken's spiciness.

Moving on, you'll come to the Luxe Collection, any of which will satisfy your hunger after hiking at Burritt on the Mountain.

The Crown Jewel is a behemoth with butter and garlic lobster, Shiitake mushrooms, mac n cheese, truffle oil and shavings, and shaved green onions.

The Bayou Baddie is a creative concoction for those wanting to try something unique. The taco has crispy Cajun alligator in a tangy remoulade with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, dill pickles, and carrots.

Just as impressive are the margaritas and bourbon offerings. Toast your day at the Purdy Butterfly House with the Hot & Juicy margarita! This cocktail features jalapeño-infused tequila with agave, fresh lime juice, watermelon puree, jalapeños, sugar water, and Tajin spices on the rim.

Bourbon lovers will want to try the New Fashioned, a twist on a classic. This libation features house bourbon, agave syrup, toasted almond bitters, and Luxardo cherries.
