About

Fine dining with water views of the Intracoastal Waterway awaits at Marker 32. Many consider it one of the best Jacksonville Beach restaurants.

Ben Groshell, a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, opened the eatery in 1992. With his culinary skills and a loan from his parents, he opened Marker 32. And the rest, they say, is history.

The white-linen restaurant has been remodeled four times with the assistance of wife Liza, who oversees the design and layout. While this is the couple's first eatery, it is not the last. They are the visionaries behind Palm Valley Fish Camp and Dockside Seafood Restaurant, with more creative endeavors on the blackboard.

The name "Marker 32" refers to the navigational markers guiding boats through the waterway. It symbolizes a connection between land and sea, reflecting the restaurant's commitment to fresh seafood and vibrant flavors.

With a focus on seasonal and locally sourced products, you're indulging in the region's best offerings.

When vacationing on the First Coast, visit Marker 32 and see for yourself why it has been a staple in Jacksonville for over thirty years.

Vibe

When you think of fine dining, one often imagines an extravagant exterior from an architectural magazine. Marker 32 is unique in that it blends with the marina and has a Florida beach look. Don't get us wrong; it's not tacky or bland. Instead, it demonstrates that you can't judge a book or a restaurant by its cover.

The moment you step inside, you're greeted by friendly staff and an inviting, upscale, and comfortable ambiance. The tables are situated to give every diner a marvelous view of the Intracoastal Waterway, adding to the dining experience.

The oval bar commands a central part of the restaurant and is a go-to for solo diners or those catching a game on the HDTV screen.

Another feather in their cap is that the vibe isn't stuffy but is electric and friendly. It's a fine dining spot suitable for families with children, small entourages, and those seeking relaxation after exploring Bird Island Park.

The atmosphere at Marker 32 is perfect for an unforgettable vacation meal—whether it's a leisurely meal on the patio or a romantic dinner watching the sunset.

The blend of tasty fare, attentive service, and expansive water views makes Marker 32 a dining experience not to be missed on your Jacksonville getaway.
