About

There's a saying among chefs: "We eat with our eyes first." This is especially true at Restaurant Medure, where your eyes will be amazed, and your taste buds will affirm its ranking as a top Jacksonville eatery.

This AAA Four-Diamond restaurant is a staple in Jacksonville and curated by the Medure Brothers, Matthew and David. They own and operate several First Coast restaurants with a simple philosophy: “Since day one, we have remained true to being a culinary-driven and chef-owned restaurant group. Decisions always come from the kitchen first and with a genuine desire to serve our guests.”

Restaurant Medure’s menu reflects the brother’s passion for world cuisine fused with local staples. The eatery uses fresh, local ingredients to craft artisan cuisine, including homemade pasta.

The menu changes frequently, reflecting the best of what the region has to offer. With a focus on seasonal fare, Restaurant Medure has garnered numerous accolades and a following beyond its Ponte Vedra Beach location.

The upscale contemporary decor is the ideal setting for fine dining on your Jacksonville getaway. While there is a main dining room, the counter surrounding the open kitchen is perfect for an up-close view as chefs prepare the meals.

The forward-thinking Medure brothers offer gourmet fare focusing on attention to detail, fresh ingredients, and guest satisfaction. For these reasons, it is one of the top Jacksonville restaurants.

Vibe

You could easily misconstrue the canopied entrance to Restaurant Medure as “just another Florida restaurant.” But open the doors, and the modern hallway hints that you’re in for a magical dining experience. The dark tile flooring, interspersed with lights, guides you to the main dining room.

The main dining area features a contemporary design with off-white walls, dark floors, wood tables, and accents. While there is no dress code, the atmosphere at Restaurant Medure coaxes patrons to “dress to impress.” But don’t equate elegance with pretentiousness. The vibe is relaxed and jovial, ideal for romantic dinners or groups to unwind after a day exploring Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens.

The open-kitchen concept lends a homey feel to the restaurant, where the banter of chefs mingles with the spirited conversations of diners. The counter overlooking the kitchen is ideal for solo meals or those who want to take in the action.

When you require top-notch fare in an elegant setting, only one spot will suffice: Restaurant Medure.

Restaurant Medure: Menu & Drinks

As we teased with our opener, the presentation of food and drinks at Restaurant Medure is a work of art! But does visually stimulating food translate into delicious fare? Spoiler alert…it does!

With a constantly changing seasonal menu, we can’t list everything. But we can highlight those that get rave reviews.

Ease into your dining adventure with an appetizer like the Bangs Island Mussels. Chefs sautéed these gems of the sea in a white wine butter sauce with caramelized fennel, Calabrian chili, and pancetta. The combination of the pancetta’s saltiness, the fennel’s anise flavor, the kick of the chili, and the butter and wine will have your tastebuds dancing.

Entrees range from steak and chicken creations to seafood marvels and, of course, homemade pasta like the House Made Radiatore Pasta. This hearty dish is perfect after walking the Southbank Riverwalk. The radiatore pasta is ideal for holding the roasted chicken, pancetta, and spicy Amatriciana sauce and is topped with grated parmesan for a salty-nutty finish.

The Medure Meatloaf classic features shiitake jus and horseradish creme, along with whipped potatoes and crispy buttermilk onion rings. It’s comfort food with a gourmet twist, perfect after a day in the water with First Coast Divers!

The wine list is impressive, with plenty of options to pair with your meal. Equally splendid are the Craft Cocktails like the Hot Blooded with Milagro Reposado Tequila, Salerno blood orange liqueur, blood orange puree, agave, lime juice, and Hellfire Bitters.

When your Jacksonville vacation requires award-winning cuisine in an elegant setting, add Restaurant Medure to your itinerary. Discover why locals and vacationers praise it as a premiere eatery.
