Close to the beach, the amusement park sports over thirty rides that will give everyone in your party a fun change of pace from the surf and boardwalk!
There’s everything from classic roller coasters, tilt-a-whirls, mirror mazes, Ferris wheels, and bumper cars! If you need to cool down, try the log-flume water ride or the wet boats and get splashed!
Family Kingdom has curated its rides to ensure everyone will have a blast and no one will be bored.
There are height requirements for rides—ranging from 30” on rides such as the Wet Boats and Kiddie Swing to 52” for the Swamp Fox Roller Coaster.
Some rides have different criteria based on whether an adult rides with the child. All height requirement information is available at the park and on the Family Kingdom website.
As the name implies, Family Kingdom suits everyone in your family! The amusement park goes out of its way to ensure that everything is family-friendly. They even enforce a dress code forbidding inappropriate clothing. The consumption of alcohol is also not permitted on the premises. The good folks at Family Kingdom make your family’s safety and comfort their highest priority.
Family Kingdom is open in the evenings at either 5 pm or 6 pm, depending on the season. Check their website for frequent sales of ride tickets and wristbands! Parking is available on-site, with plenty of spill-over lots as well.

Family Kingdom Amusement Park constantly works to feature the newest and best experiences at Myrtle Beach.
In 2023, the park is introducing eight new rides! Some of these are the F5, which spins and twirls its riders at tornado speeds, and the Dragon Coaster, a tremendous first-time roller coaster experience for kids.
And there’s more than your typical rides on rails at Family Kingdom. The Go Karts have been a mainstay at the park, and for good reason!
Speed freaks will love to let it rip on the track, driving go-karts around the figure eight and jockeying for first! It’s the perfect ride to test your mettle against family to see who reigns as the speed king or queen!
Getting There
From downtown Myrtle Beach, drive south on US-17 BUS toward 3rd Ave.
Turn left onto 3rd Ave and then right onto 4th Ave S. Family Kingdom Amusement Park will be on your right at 300 S Ocean Blvd, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577.
Local Tips
- You can’t bring your own food or coolers into the park, but Family Kingdom has plenty of options inside!
- Ride tickets never expire, so save the ones you don’t use! And your wristband is good for the whole day, meaning you can leave and return!
- Family Kingdom is less than a seven-minute walk from the southern end of the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Promenade!
- You may enter the park for free if you’re not riding any attractions.
