Located at the end of the Promenade and Boardwalk, riders will enjoy a perfectly temperate gondola ride, as the compartments are both heated and cooled depending on the weather to ensure the perfect experience.
Rides take fifteen minutes and include three to four revolutions around the wheel, giving riders multiple chances to see everything there is to see! And if you’re worried about wind or lightning, the operator carefully monitors weather reports.
Opened in 2011, the SkyWheel was the first of its kind in America, and there have been lines to take the ride ever since! For over a decade, the folks at SkyWheel have been working with customers to provide the perfect experience for their guests.

The truly unique experience, however, might be the sunrise flights! On special days—listed on the website—the SkyWheel opens earlier than the typical 11 a.m. Lucky customers get a pristine view of the sun rising over the Atlantic Ocean and Myrtle Beach.

Looking for a VIP experience? Don’t worry. There’s a package for that. Featuring double the time on the SkyWheel—eight rotations instead of the typical four—you’re sure to take in everything the Myrtle Beach skyline offers.
And you’ll be doing it in style with the unique VIP gondola, which features luxurious Ferrari leather bucket seats. The VIP experience also includes a group photo and a special lanyard to commemorate the occasion!

Getting There
From downtown Myrtle Beach, walking, take a right on 5th Ave for about a quarter mile.
Take a left onto North Ocean Boulevard and walk for another half mile.
You’ll find the SkyWheel at Myrtle Beach on the right at 1110 N Ocean Blvd, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577. It’s impossible to miss!

- Each SkyWheel gondola can fit you and five of your family or friends, and you never have to worry about riding with strangers. Every ride is private!
- While SkyWheel loves your four-legged companions, only service dogs are allowed on the ride.
