About

When your Utah vacation requires coffee, treats, and housemade ice cream, only one place will do: Java Cow Cafe & Ice Cream.

This beloved ice cream parlor opened in 2003 and features quirky artwork, homemade baked goods, and, of course, delicious ice cream.

Its location on Park City Main Street Historic District makes it a go-to after shopping, schussing the slopes, or a day of hiking. Morning go-getters will appreciate that it opens at 8 AM. You can grab a cup of Joe and a light breakfast before your day on the go.

The shop is locally owned and prides itself on using fresh ingredients. You'll taste the difference in its housemade ice creams, which feature seasonal creations.

The homemade eats are another standout, with favorites like the Black Forest ham and Swiss cheese croissant, fresh quiche, and steel-cut oats. The baked goods range from cookies and brownies to eclairs and French macaroons. There truly is something for every sweet tooth at Java Cow!

Java Cow is a place where you can relax with a cup of coffee or tea and delight in hand-crafted treats. Its rich history, eclectic atmosphere, and commitment to quality make it a must-visit.

Vibe

The exterior of Java Cow, with its colorful cow motif, complements the historic district's ambiance and charm. The south wall is home to Banksy street art and is popular for selfies and social media posts. But step inside and enter a whimsical, carnival-like atmosphere.

The interior is narrow, but space is utilized efficiently. Cow-themed decor is abundant, but the bins, stands, and shelves jam-packed with treats boggle the mind. Amidst the goodies are postcards, souvenirs, stuffed animals…you get the picture!

One wall showcases the displays of ice cream, coffee, and baked goods. Large black menus with high-viz colored entrees adorn the wall, making ordering a breeze.

In the rear is a cozy eating area with vintage pink soda fountain stools, tables, and, of course, a cow statue! Checkerboard tile flooring and colorful art and photographs liven up the room.

Java Cow Cafe & Ice Cream offers a unique fusion of energy and ease. It captures the essence of Park City's charm—fun, welcoming, and wonderfully unpretentious.

Java Cow Cafe & Ice Cream: Menu & Drinks

A popular baked good is the Liège-style Belgian made-to-order waffles. They are crispy on the outside and fluffy inside, with a dusting of powdered sugar. Customers grab and go, walking and eating them because they're not sticky or too messy.

When you have time for a hot bite, try the daily-made quiche. These personal-size meals are creamy and delicious, perfect before a Summit Bike Share adventure.

With Java in its name, you know superb coffee is on hand. It sources beans from Caffe Ibis, a Park City family-owned coffee roaster. The mountain-grown roasts are Triple Certified, Organic, Fair Trade, and Smithsonian Shade Grown "Bird-Friendly." It's the perfect caffeine jolt before driving on the scenic Guardsman Pass.

If you're not a coffee lover, they have an extensive tea selection from The Republic of Tea. Kids of all ages will want to savor the rich hot chocolate.

Last but not least are the housemade ice creams. Java Cow sources local, fresh ingredients to create some of the tastiest flavors in Utah. One standout is the Purple Cow. This seasonal favorite showcases blackberry ice cream with white and dark chocolate chunks. Vegans or those needing dairy-free choices will marvel at the coconut-based ice cream choices.

Where there is ice cream, you'll also find milkshakes and smoothies! With plentiful choices, you can create a dream-come-true shake or smoothie that is to die for!

Java Cow Cafe & Ice Cream offers tasty treats, hot drinks, and light meals in a playful setting. Including it in your itinerary will give you something to moo about!
