About

Giovanni Scorzo's personality is as big as his pizzas and as rich as his handmade cannoli. While he can be passionate about many topics, one thing is for sure: he knows Italian cuisine! With such enthusiasm, he opened Andreoli Italian Grocer in Scottsdale.

Here, delicious Italian tastes and long-lasting traditions are the driving principles. Giovanni's personality shines in a quote found on their website: "Eat the best food in the world and shut up." While some would call the remark brash, Scorzo backs it up with his delicious, authentic cuisine.

Chef Scorzo's cooking adventure began with his mom, Andreoli. Cooking by her side, he learned the ABCs of cooking. After learning more at a famous cooking school called Instituto Alberghio di Stati in Florence, Chef Scorzo's life turned when he met Linda, who later became his wife. The Scorzo family brought the real Italian dining experience to the United States with Andreoli Italian Grocer.

Although it sounds cliche, stepping into Andreoli Italian Grocer is akin to entering a quaint deli in Italy. But that's what Chef Scorzo wanted to create: an eatery resembling the delis he had experienced growing up in Italy.

When you step inside, you'll feel the warm atmosphere filled with shelves stocked with specialty foods from Italy. Whether you're there to grab some Italian staples or to savor the restaurant's many tasty offerings, you won't forget dining at Andreoli Italian Grocer.

Vibe

The exterior of Andreoli Italian Grocer radiates an inviting Old-World charm, drawing you into an unpretentious and homey world.

As you cross the threshold, the interior unveils a vibrant Italian marketplace, creating an atmosphere alive with the clinking of glasses, peals of laughter, and alluring scents from the brick oven. Whether you opt for a seat indoors, where the ambiance is cozy and inviting, or choose the outdoor patio, the surroundings capture the essence of a traditional Italian family gathering.

The lively ambiance at Andreoli's extends beyond the mere setting. It cultivates a sense of community, turning each visit into more than a meal. Adding to the authenticity is the occasional strolling Italian musician singing Old World lively and merry songs.

As you relax in this welcoming environment, you'll find that the vibrant atmosphere enhances the overall dining experience. It elevates your meal, making it a memorable occasion filled with joy and wonder.

Whether you're enjoying a quiet evening with a loved one or celebrating a special occasion in Phoenix, Andreoli Italian Grocer's ambiance transforms each visit into a delightful journey through the heart of Italy.

Andreoli Italian Grocer: Menu & Drinks

The menu weaves Chef Scorzo's cherished childhood recipes and innovative creations into what is known regionally as his culinary finesse. A must-try sensation is the Ciao Sandwich, a carefully orchestrated medley featuring a fresh baguette, thinly sliced beef, melted provolone cheese, sautéed onions, and a subtle hint of tangy vinaigrette.

The menu reveals other Italian treasures, such as the Rigatoni Amatriciana, a sumptuous pasta dish that captures the essence of homemade comfort. This taste feast showcases rigatoni with Guanciale bacon, tomato, and pecorino for a hearty dish that will have you dreaming of more.

For one of Frank Sinatra's favorites, order the NY Strip Steak. You'll receive a Prime NY Strip Steak served to your liking with oven-roasted potatoes and seasonal vegetables. Allow thirty minutes for chefs to prepare this mouth-watering entree.

Don't miss out on the specialty drinks to fully immerse yourself in the Italian experience. Consider indulging in a velvety Tormaresca Torcicorda Primitivo wine, letting its rich notes complement the savory dishes.

Alternatively, there are various Italian waters and sodas, lattes, and cappuccinos. All will punctuate your meal or accompany the decadent desserts, which are a perfect conclusion to your culinary adventure.

When you crave hearty Italian cuisine as authentic as Giovanni Scurzo, dine at Andreoli Italian Grocer!
