About

Prepare to satisfy your sweet tooth at Mr. Cream Pancakes & Waffles! Located in the heart of Marina Vallarta, this popular breakfast and lunch spot has over 70 menu items, ensuring something for everyone, no matter the craving!

While it's a sweet tooth's paradise, you'll find hearty meals like eggs Benedict, steak and eggs, along with other stick-to-your-ribs breakfasts. The lunch menu expands to include healthy salads and Mexican staples, such as enchiladas and tacos.

Mr. Cream Pancakes & Waffles is also your go-to spot for specialty coffees, including lattes and cappuccinos. The smoothies add another layer of drink possibilities, especially after a day on the water with Pirate Ship Vallarta.

Speaking of adventures, the restaurant's convenient marina location makes it a neighbor to other attractions such as Vallarta Adventures and the Marina Vallarta Golf Club. Such proximity makes it easy to plan to grab breakfast before your tour or tee time. While we're on the topic of sightseeing, destinations like Butterfly Sanctuary Mariposario Jardin Magico are a short drive away.

With so much to see and do, you're biggest challenge will be deciding what to visit first!

Vibe

The curb appeal for this bistro-style eatery is off the charts! The awning sports a black and white stripe design that makes you feel as though you're entering a European cafe. The open dining area offers unobstructed views of the boats and yachts in the marina, as well as passersby on foot or by bike.

Inside, cute cafe touches abound as do hanging and potted plants, offering a lovely contrast against the more muted tones in the walls and wooden tables. Modern design elements give the room a contemporary vibe that blends with the sights and sounds of the marina.

The setting is perfect for those preparing for a day of sightseeing, as well as those seeking relaxation with picturesque views.

Mr. Cream Pancakes & Waffles: Menu & Drinks

To say that this restaurant is well known for its pancakes and waffles is an understatement! For example, beneath the "Hot Cakes" section of the menu, there are over a dozen variations! While there are tons of sweet pancakes, the savory options are worth investigating, like the hot cake take on a club sandwich.

A standout sweet pancake is the Hot Cakes Amorino with bananas, strawberries, and Nutella. Chocolate lovers prefer the Hot Cakes Cocoa Royal, served with whipped cream, Nutella, toasted almonds, walnuts, and chocolate sauce. Finally, the Hot Cakes Buonissimo is a fantastic choice for any coffee lover. It comes with coffee drizzled over a stack of hotcakes covered in mascarpone cheese and chocolate sauce, so good!

Time doesn't permit us to brag about all of the waffle selections, but needless to say, they are equally creative and decadent.

On point is the Waffle Oh Mama! A Belgium-style waffle features fried plantains, whipped cream, condensed milk, and dulce de leche. You'll wonder if it's breakfast or dessert!

Not craving something sweet? Fear not; there are plenty of traditional savory breakfast options as well. Each huevos platter comes with two eggs and your choice of grated potatoes or beans. For a heartier option, opt for an omelette. Under the Los Mexicanos category, you can order Mexican favorites such as chilaquiles and quesadillas.

Lunchtime showcases healthy salads, Latin-inspired staples, and other offerings. With so much to choose from, you'll find something for even your pickiest eater.

Whether you're looking for a filling breakfast before a jam-packed day of fun in Puerto Vallarta, or looking for a yummy brunch before lying on the beach, Mr. Cream Pancakes & Waffles is an excellent choice!

Frequently Asked Questions

The most popular way to reach Puerto Vallarta from abroad is by plane. The Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR) receives direct flights from 50 different airports from across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, including 13 domestic flights. Officially known as the Licenciado Gustavo Diaz Ordaz International Airport, PVR is the 7th busiest airport in Mexico. It is centrally located with easy access to the city.

Puerto Vallarta’s warm, tropical climate provides ideal year-round temperatures, with dry winters and rainy summers. Average temps range from a high of mid-90s and high humidity in the summer rainy season (June - Oct) to evening lows of upper-60s in the mild winters. November through May tend to be drier months, with less humidity, offering 10 to 12 hours of sunshine.

The best time to visit PV is from December to April, which is also considered the high season, driven largely by international visitors, retirees, and snowbirds seeking warmer climates. This is also when you’ll find humidity hasn’t kicked in yet, so walking along or spending the whole day at the beach is very enjoyable. While May - November is considered to be a lower season, there is consistent weekend activity coming from all parts of Mexico.

Puerto Vallarta offers exciting local and international events throughout the entire year, with many of these revolving around culture, gastronomy, sports, and film.

  • Puerto Vallarta Carnaval (usually late February)
  • The Mexico Open at Vidanta (PGA tournament held in February)
  • International Film Festival (March) Festival Internacional de Cine en Puerto Vallarta (FICPV)
  • Festival Fiestas de Mayo: Month-long celebration in May encompassing Puerto Vallarta’s anniversary, featuring live music, carnival rides, culture, and tradition
  • Vallarta Pride held mid to late May, attracting over 17,000 attendees
  • Day of the Dead celebrations (Nov 1) and month-long International Gourmet Festival held in November

With plenty of spots to choose from, Puerto Vallarta’s beaches are pleasantly swimmable. Still, it is important to remain alert to tides, weather, and water conditions as the Pacific Ocean can present stronger waves at certain times of the year. Winter and Spring provide the calmest waters for swimming, while the warmest water temps are Summer and Fall.

Puerto Vallarta’s star quality was thrust onto the international stage in 1963 for the filming of “The Night of the Iguana.” At that time, Mismaloya Beach welcomed the likes of Richard Burton, Eva Gardner, and Elizabeth Taylor as the city further immersed as a quintessential sunkissed vacation destination.

The stunning beaches and warm climate create an inviting environment year round, while the local community offers rich traditions, excellent cuisine, and a welcoming atmosphere. Living or visiting here means enjoying an active lifestyle outdoors and being part of a diverse and friendly community, which makes it truly special. For visitors traveling to Puerto Vallarta, taking part in vibrant community life and activities is a welcome addition to a beach getaway.
