Los Bagels is a staple and must visit in Humboldt County. They're a restaurant with lots of character, Mexican flair, and plenty on the menu for breakfast and lunch. Since first opening their doors in 1984, they've built a reputation for the best bagels, pastries, and espresso in town!
Los Bagels Locations
There are three Los Bagels locations in Humboldt County. You'll find this one in Arcata, near the Plaza. A second location in Old Town Eureka. Lastly, the third location is at Humboldt State University (soon to be called Cal Poly Humboldt).
The building stands out amongst the rest because it has plenty of colorful murals, signs, and tables decorating the exterior. It doesn't stop there - the inside is just as aesthetic! With a retro-modern feel and friendly service, you'll feel welcome right away.
At this spacious Arcata location, you'll find plenty of exterior seating. There are bar stools and small tables inside as well. Though you'll probably want to enjoy the cool weather and admire the artwork with a seat outside!
What's on the Menu?
Of course, the main attraction at Los Bagels are their fresh, organic bagels! The bagel varieties they offer include:
Garlic, Jalapeño, Jalapeño Cheddar, Multi-Cultural, Onion, Parmesan, Plain, Poppy, Salt, Sesame, Slugs, and Whole Wheat Raisin. Additionally, they have a couple gluten-free options which are the almost everything and plain bagels.
Local Favorites & Scram Bagels
There is a great selection of local favorites and scram bagels to choose from. Local favorites are all unique in their own ways. Some popular choices that are great for first-timers at Los Bagels are the Veggie Delight, Casey's Thai, and Cucumbin. As for Scram Bagels, these are more of the typical breakfast style combinations. For example, there is a Chorizo Scram and Farm Scrambagel. On the Chorizo Scram you'll have cheddar, Los Bagels chorizo, and scrambled egg. On the Farm Scrambagel, you'll have black forest ham, cheddar, cream cheese, onion, tomato, and scrambled egg. Alternatively, you can build your own bagel. Choose your base, cream cheese, spread, and toppings!
