This location is also very convenient for visiting the postcard-perfect community of Mendocino, just eight miles to the south. Hike along the bluff at the Mendocino Headlands State Park, browse for books at the Mendocino Book Company, or just sightsee around this quaint oceanside village. Access to the beach is within walking distance from the home, walk back down the driveway, onto Old Coast Highway behind the Ark, walk until you reach Cypress Road, turn left on Cypress and on your right you will see a fence, directly at the end of the fence is an access trail down to Hare Creek Beach.
