Gleneden Beach has a few lovely restaurants, and less than a mile south along the highway is a grocery store and cafe, so you don't have to go far to find the basics! To the north is Lincoln City, where you can shop at the outlet mall, spend an evening at the casino, get a meal at the diverse restaurants, and even head over to Devils Lake for fishing, boating, and swimming. South about five miles is charming Depoe Bay, known as the whale-watching capital of the coast, and you could continue south about another 18.7 miles to reach Newport, famous for its historic bayfront and the Oregon Coast Aquarium.
