About

Rocky Point, Mexico is a world-class destination for fishing, sailing, and diving; but there’s one other outdoor activity that is quickly gaining in popularity among visitors to this coastal paradise: Ultralight Flying. For those who are unfamiliar with the sport, ultralight flying is essentially recreational aviation — traveling by airplane at low speeds and low altitudes. When most of us think about flying, visions of large commercial planes come to mind. But, for adventurers seeking a different kind of flight experience, there's a smaller, more intimate and accessible option.

Ultralight flights are a type of small aircraft that looks like a motorized tricycle with a wing on top of it. Typically flown by a single person, if offers an incredibly unique flying experience. It glides effortlessly in the air because of its well-designed structure, but it can also land and take off from the beach thanks to its small yet strong motor and three wheels. With the little separation between you and the ground (or water), the sense of speed and freedom is unbeatable. These motorized vehicles fly so low and so much slower than any regular airplane that you can really take in the scenery and even wave at the tourists on the beach as you fly above.
