Savannah

As the oldest city in Georgia, and home to one of the prettiest streets in the country, Savannah possesses a level of Southern charm that is hauntingly beautiful. The city’s rich history, culinary delights, and elegant architecture are further enhanced by its reputation for hospitality. In the last 10 years, more than 50 million people have visited this revered “Hostess of the South”.

Founded in 1733 by General James Oglethorpe, Savannah is located on the southeast coast of the Atlantic Ocean. A 20-minute drive separating the city’s Historic Downtown from Tybee Island makes it easy to combine a beach trip into any Savannah adventure.

Visitors of all types will be enchanted by everything that Savannah has to offer. Additionally, the Spanish moss draped from towering oaks around the city’s 22 green squares is simply breathtaking. From cobblestone streets to historic homes, and from ornate fountains to the city’s riverwalk, history is everywhere you look in Savannah.

Today, the city’s unique character seamlessly blends a vibrant art scene with history, charm, and fun. Home to the Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD), art abounds throughout the city. In addition, Savannah is curiously home to the 2nd largest St. Patrick’s Day Festival in the country. Visitors are also drawn to the festive antics of the Savannah Bananas baseball team, once more highlighting the area’s one-of-a-kind personality.

So, whether for a quick getaway or a long stay, there’s always something to love about Savannah. The city always has a way of making you feel right at home.
