About

Hitch is the brainchild of Trey Wilder, Bill Wilder, and Rick Kunzi, the same team behind the popular Treylor Park and Treylor Park Beach Party on Tybee Island.

The restaurant opened its doors on July 15, 2016, in a renovated space that once housed the Granite Restaurant and Bar. The name "Hitch" is a continuation of the play on words used with the other eateries. Incorporating Trey's name into "Treylor Park," "Hitch" became the obvious next choice since you need a trailer hitch to pull your double-wide!

The vision for Hitch was to create a space that bridges the gap between fine dining and casual dive bars. By offering a middle ground, you'll discover reasonable prices and inventive Southern-inspired cuisine.

The restaurant's design incorporates industrial elements like exposed brick walls, distressed wood, and copper accents, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Like its sister restaurants, the menu at Hitch features playful takes on comfort food. You'll find creative gems like PB&J Wings and Duck Confit Pizza Pie.

The restaurant's location in the Savannah Historic District makes it easy to add a meal after exploring the area's landmarks. Within walking distance is Chippewa Square as well as the Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist. With so much to see and do in the area, your biggest challenge will be choosing where to begin!

When your crew is craving creative homespun meals in a beach-shack atmosphere, add Hitch to your Georgia getaway to-do list.

Vibe

The exterior of Hitch is a charming brick building located at the corner of Liberty and Drayton Streets. Its understated facade blends seamlessly with Savannah's historic architecture, inviting diners to step inside and discover its unique character.

Inside, the decor blends industrial elements with Southern charm and beach colors and motifs. The wooden plank ceilings and copper accents create a cozy yet modern ambiance. Fairy lights strung across the room add magic to the room, while a vintage bicycle hanging in space adds nostalgia.

The restaurant's layout includes a dedicated bar area, perfect for casual drinks. A separate dining space offers a more intimate setting for meals.

Additionally, the patio offers al fresco dining to enjoy Savannah's pleasant weather.

The ambiance at Hitch offers a relaxed yet vibrant setting on your Savannah vacation, where you can unwind after a day of exploring or playing at the beach.

Hitch: Menu & Drinks

The one thing all of the Treylor Park restaurants have in common is the shared menu. Here are some standouts to consider when visiting.

Diners rave about the French dip pizza! This unique 10" thin-crust pie features shaved beef, onion marmalade, Swiss cheese, and garlic parmesan aioli. Au jus comes on the side, making you wonder if this is a sandwich or a specialty pizza!

Another standout is the Shrimp and Grits Taco, featuring fried grit nuggets, crispy shrimp, chimichurri sauce, and chili aioli. It's the perfect choice when you're deciding between Tex-Mex or a Southern classic.

A lighter selection is the Georgia Hitch Salad, featuring toasted pecans, diced peaches, Vidalia onions, mixed greens, and feta cheese. Add chicken, shrimp, or seared ahi tuna for an additional fee, then select either ranch, balsamic vinaigrette, blueberry vinaigrette, carrot ginger, or Wasabi vinaigrette.

For brunch enthusiasts, the chorizo tacos will spice up your morning. These handhelds feature scrambled eggs, crumbled chorizo, avocado, pico, and Sriracha creme.

The drink menu is equally impressive, with craft cocktails that showcase the restaurant's playful approach. A perfect example is the Cactus Pear Margarita, featuring cactus pear puree, Blanco tequila, fresh lime, and lemon with a chipotle salt rim.

Another popular choice is the Grapeful Dead, a refreshing and vibrant option with grape Kool-Aid, vodka, fresh lime, and club soda. It's perfect after watching the Savannah Bananas on a hot day!

Visiting Hitch will give you an innovative dining experience rooted in Southern tradition. The combination of bold flavors, creative presentations, and a lively atmosphere makes it a must on your trip.
