About

As the saying goes, when a door closes, a window opens. Such is the story of Pinchy's Lobster + Rawbar. This popular seafood joint began at The Factory in Franklin, Tennessee, as Pinchy's Lobster Company. However, the theft of its food truck sparked the decision to broaden its horizons.

The company set its sights on Sevierville, Tennessee, and began restoring a former church. When renovations to its envisioned seafood-and-beer-garden restaurant were complete, they opened in 2022.

In just its first year, over 150,000 diners visited, making it the go-to seafood destination in the area. With such success, the restaurant expanded to Maryville, Tennessee, and Boerne, Texas.

The menu is all about fresh New England cuisine. These include Maine lobster rolls and other creations, unique sushi, a raw bar, and even land-lover highlights. But it's not just about the food.

Pinchy's is also known for its festive, family-friendly atmosphere, with live music and community events. The outdoor area is home to a cozy fire pit, picnic table, and cornhole games.

Its location makes it easy to combine a meal with a sightseeing itinerary. For instance, after checking out the Smoky Mountain Knife Works or spending a day at Dollywood, celebrate your adventure and discoveries with seafood at Pinchy's.

While the theft of the food truck is in the rear-view window, the tragedy was transformational. Visit Pinchy's Lobster + Rawbar and discover a revitalized restaurant that refused to quit.

Vibe

The former brick church has been painted white, and industrial lights hang under the front porch. The modern windows, wooden front door, and porch columns blend with other renovated hotspots like the next-door neighbor, The Pines Downtown.

Off to the side is the fenced-in beer garden with picnic tables, artificial grass, a fire pit, and an elevated, covered back porch. Here, diners enjoy unencumbered views of the yard and the surrounding neighborhood.

Garage doors lead into the main dining area and can be rolled open on nice days. Inside, the design features industrial and contemporary elements. Picture exposed ceiling with ductwork, Pergo flooring, and wood tables dotting the floor.

The bar features metal chairs for solo dining or those seeking a low-key experience. Gray tile serves as the bar's wainscot and accent wall, where industrial-style shelves hold bottles of spirits.

The atmosphere is upbeat, fun, and slathered with a heaping layer of Southern hospitality. Weekends bring seasonal live music, but don't mistake this energy for a rowdy experience. Families enjoy the setting, especially the fenced-in yard where little ones can burn off steam.

Whether you're grabbing a casual lunch or a special dinner, the ambiance is a perfect fit on an East Tennessee getaway.
