Elk River Snowboard and Ski considers itself a "Mom & Pop" Shop. Located at the Soaring Eagle Lodge at the top of the mountain, they are also next door to the 10 Prime Steakhouse. The Soaring Eagle Lodge is the highest Ski lodge east of Colorado, so this is the perfect place for a shop like this to be located. In addition, this is a convenient location for skiers and snowboarders who need a last minute accessory at the top of the Soaring Eagle lift.
Note: They own a second location in the Valley at the corner of Route 66 and Highway 219.
Though they are a mom & pop shop, don't let that fool you! This establishment is sizable and offers a wide variety of equipment and accessories. They have very reasonable prices for purchases and rentals.
Services & Rentals
For a smooth rental process, be sure to set up a reservation on the website. While reservations are always highly recommended, they are not required. Walk-ins are absolutely welcome. Another things to consider is you save yourself a few dollars per reservation if you place it online ahead of time.
Also, delivery services for rentals are available, but these must be made in advance. Delivery services are a great way to take the hassle out of picking up rentals. They are delivered directly to your residence which buys you some time in the morning. You can get out on the slopes much faster. Different companies may have different fees depending on your location, so we highly recommend you do your research on this.
The cost for rentals at this business is dependent on whether you pick up from the Soaring Eagle or Valley location. In addition, demo level equipment comes at a higher cost than performance equipment. Performance equipment is recommended for Beginner-Intermediate level users while Demo is typically for Intermediate-Advanced. However, any user can choose to rent Demo level equipment for the highest quality.
