The Ski Barn and Snow Creek Mountain Sports are independently owned sporting goods stores. They are your one-stop-shop for everything equipment, accessory, and clothing related! The prices at these stores tend to be more affordable than on the mountain for a couple reasons. First off, their locations are not quite as convenient as other stores inside the village. Secondly, they are independently owned - not owned by Snowshoe Mountain. Therefore, they have a little more flexibility when it comes to pricing.
Ski Barn
The Ski Barn is located at 39002 Seneca Trail Slaty Fork, WV 26291. This is an optimal location to rent from if you are staying at the base of the mountain or if you want to pick up your rentals when you check in for your Casago vacation rental. It's just down the street from the Casago office.
Snow Creek Mountain Sports
Snow Creek Mountain Sports is on the mountain, right next to Old Spruce Brewing. This is just down the street from Silver Creek Resort. Both locations are spacious and offer a wide variety of items to choose from. The address and phone number listed here belong to Snow Creek Mountain sports.
Rental Rates
On the mountain, it will easily run you $50-75/day for your rentals. With these companies, it costs between $30-42/day. Those are some pretty great savings, especially if you plan to be on the mountain for multiple days. In addition, by reserving your rentals online in advance, you save an additional 10%.
Moreover, if you have a large group of 15 or more, you are eligible to receive group discount rates. The group leader will even receive a complimentary rental package.
To avoid crowds, you are able to pick up your rentals after 5PM the evening before your rental period begins. This is a great way to avoid the lines in the mornings and get on the mountain as soon as possible.
Services Available
Some of the services available here include waxes, quick tunes, full tunes, and bindings. They offer full services. Be sure to call ahead to ensure that they're ready for you and can get you set quickly.
As for shopping, you will find the largest selection to choose from including all the top brands. They've got it all - from helmets and socks to skis/boots and outerwear.
