About

Rae's Bar & Grill is a lunch and dinner destination located in the Historic Main Street area of Marble Falls. The entire is noted for its shops and small, locally owned restaurants like this.

This one is "Mom-Owned" and showcases some of the best cooking in the area.

The food here is outstanding, and everything is made right when you order it, which means they are not wasting food, and it will be hot. It may take an extra few minutes, but it is worth it.

I love that they have daily specials. I think these change from time to time, but they often offer great deals, like grilled shrimp tacos with chipotle aioli and slaw served with rice and beans. You can also get $5 house wine or, some days, $5 well tequila or well martinis. Their prices overall are competitive and even rather low.

The staff is nice and helpful, as there has been more than once when I needed a special change to an item. They were so accommodating!

The location, which most locals just call RBar, is just a short walk from the lake. Everything they offer is scratch-made, and you can tell the difference. They also season and smoke all of their meats in-house.

When it comes to choosing a place to eat in downtown Marble Falls, this location has been here for the longest of all locations, and it's won numerous awards as a destination location.

And if you appreciate historical buildings, this one dates back to the early 1900s. If only the walls could talk!

Vibe

Rae's is a fun, trendy restaurant located on Main Street.

They offer lunch specials along with a full menu of satisfying, flavorful food. It's a cute, upbeat, and friendly place to grab a meal and a drink, and I love that they have live music at various times of the week.

It's super casual and gives you that down-home vibe. I really recommend it for anyone, whether you’re a group of friends meeting after work or wanting to take the entire family for dinner or lunch.

The vibe here is awesome!

Rae's Rbar & Grill: Menu & Drinks

The menu is super fun and really well thought out.

I had the Tex-Mex Pulled Pork Tacos. So much flavor and just enough spice to make it an enjoyable meal. It is an excellent choice if you like slow-cooked pulled pork.

If you want something to start with, there are lots of options, though I like the Fried Pickle Spears and the Seasoned Fried Okra. You can tell everything is made fresh when you order it, and that really makes the difference in these tasty starters!

Another great choice is the Spicy Mac & Cheese Burger. There's a big burger that's topped with lettuce, chipotle mayo, bacon, and then spicy mac & cheese on top. It is messy and very much worth it!

As for drinks, they have your standard options, but I happen to like the Shirley Temple. It's one of my favorite options for any location, but this one does a great job with it overall, and it's become my favorite place to get it.

Local Tips

  • Thanks to the outdoor patio, you can bring your dog with you. If you are out for a stroll and want to step in for a quick meal, it's easy enough to do that with your pet.
  • If you want to save on drinks, check them out during happy hour, which really runs from 4 to 7 during the week. Be sure to ask about the specials.
  • When you need to treat yourself to something really special, I highly recommend the Chocolate Cheesecake. It's not overly sweet, but it is decadent and exceptional after a long, hot date.
  • They host various live music nights and karaoke, making this a super fun way to spend the evening with friends.
